Projects: Module 02 — User Research and Discovery

Project ideas applying concepts from this module. For the full project list, see ../../PROJECTS.md.

B2: User Interview Practice — Conduct 3 short (20-minute) user interviews about a product or problem area you're interested in. Document your findings using Jobs-to-be-Done language.

See the full description in ../../PROJECTS.md.

Additional Ideas

  • Interview someone who recently switched products — People who just switched from one product to another are goldmines for JTBD insight. They can articulate exactly what job they were hiring for and why the old product stopped doing it. Find 2–3 people who recently switched CRM, project management, or note-taking tools and interview them.

  • Continuous discovery experiment — For 4 consecutive weeks, interview one person per week about a specific problem area. Track how your understanding of the opportunity landscape changes. Note which insights would have been impossible to get from a single "research sprint."
