Do not add resources based on hearsay, AI suggestions, or titles that "sound right." A short list of excellent resources beats a long list of unverified ones.

- [Your Vehicle's Owner's Manual] — The single most important document for your specific car. Found in the glovebox or downloadable from the manufacturer's website by entering your VIN. Contains the factory-specified maintenance intervals, fluid specs, and torque values for your exact model and year.
- NHTSA Safety Ratings and Recalls — The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database for safety ratings, TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins), and recall information. Enter your VIN to check for open recalls on your vehicle.
- [VehicleHistory.com / Carfax-equivalent reports] — Paid services that reveal accident history, ownership count, mileage records, and title issues. Worth the cost before any used car purchase.
